Principal Profiles
Giovanni E. Coello, R.A.
Mr. Coello is a registered Architect in the state of New York and New Jersey. After
obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture degree from New York Institute of Technology,
Old Westbury, New York, Mr. Coello practiced architecture and interior design in
various respected firms situated in Long Island and Manhattan giving him knowledge
in both the suburban and urban aesthetic. Mr. Coello has worked on various types
of projects ranging from healthcare to retail and commercial office interiors. His
strong background in interiors makes for a unified and cohesive architectural product
with sensibility towards the human condition. In 1996 Mr. Coello established a partnership
with Mr. Stephen Scheibly to form Diversified Design Associates, Architects, P.C.
At Diversified Design Associates, he shares design duties and manages the office
cad system. In his recent years of professional practice, Mr. Coello has rounded
off this experience by assuming the role of construction manager on several projects.
Mr. Coello’s strong desire for excellence in the design aesthetic and strong client
service has helped Diversified Design develop and maintain its clientele.
Stephen Scheibly, R.A.
Mr. Scheibly holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from New York Institute of
Technology and in 1996, along with Giovanni Coello founded Diversified Design Associates
- Architects, P.C., a firm of architects and interior designers committed to the
principle of design excellence. Mr. Scheibly has over 20 years experience as an
architect and manager on a variety of projects including educational, retail, residential
and commercial. He has been the project architect for several nationally recognized
retail chains and restaurants. Mr. Scheibly serves as managing partner and is currently
responsible for contracts, fees, scheduling, marketing and monitoring of day to
day activities. Mr. Scheibly is also principle in charge of residential design.
Theodore Pupilla, R.A.
Mr. Pupilla Graduated New York Institute of Technology in 1990 with a Bachelor of
Architecture Degree. Prior to Joining Diversified Design Associates-Architects,
P.C. he was employed by several prominent local and national Real-Estate owner /
developers. Most recently Mr. Pupilla held the position of Director of Construction
and Property Management for Northeast Equity Management where he was responsible
for the day to day operations of design, construction and property management for
the Long Island based real-estate firm. While at First Industrial Realty Trust,
a Chicago based Real Estate Investment Trust, he held the position of Regional Development
Officer and In House Architect. His responsibilities included the production and
management for all design, renovation and new construction within the New York Region.
Mr. Pupilla began his post college career at Spiegel Associates; a Long Island based
real-estate owner / developer, where he began as an Architectural Designer / Project
Manager. He was responsible for all in-house architectural design as well as numerous
office, retail and commercial construction projects. He was a member of a three
man team responsible for the ground up construction of two shopping centers and
three commercial buildings.
